Extreme Decals LLC questions and answers on Planet Superbike

We've put this Question and answer section together to help everyone understand what happened with Planet Superbike.  And how it will effect present and future customers.

  1. What happened to Planet Superbike ?
  2. Will I still be able to get the same decals ?
  3. Are there going to be any price changes ?
  4. Where's the logo's such as Yamaha, Suzuki, etc... ?
  5. Will Extreme Decals still attend bike shows, meets etc.. ?

  1. Since January 1st 2008 talks on what to do with Planet Superbike have been discussed and the decision was made to close  as of March 15th 2008.   Planet Superbike would like to thank all there friends and customers for there support and business and wish a happy good-bye to the decal business.  Some of the style decals they made are still available here at Extreme Decals, for others they are likely gone for good.

  2. Yes AND no, certain decals from Planet Superbike will be available but will carry the Extreme Decals Logo.  Any decals that had a factory style logo or trademarked logo will be discontinued.  This includes sponsor logos.   Track day plate kits are no longer available online,  due to the complexity of installing them and the trouble with all the custom options we offer.  They are only available at the shop with us installing them for the customer once the design is approved on the computer before printing.  This requires an appointment.

  3. Some products will have price increases and select items will have decreased pricing.  Details will be posted.

  4. In agreement with Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha,  Planet Superbike stopped selling the factory trademarked and registered logo's a few months back and essentially it put an end to the business.  Extreme Decals does not have a license agreement to market the logo's or trademarked property of any motorcycle manufacture therefore will not sell them.  Applying for a marketing license is a lengthy and difficult process and the decision to proceed is yet to be decided.   With our business being more involved in custom airbrush and paint we likely will not pursue the rights to sell copyrighted or trademarked logo's.

  5. Yes, We will still attend the shows, meets and club events as we always did.  And since we moved to our new building with Jagged Edge Customs we'll have all kinds of airbrush displays we'll be bringing along too.

  6. The website will look similar for now but will be forwarded to Extreme Decals where certain decals will still be available but with more on airbrushing and custom paint.

  7. Your order won't be affected at all with the change,  except you may get a receipt with the Extreme Decals Logo on it depending on exactly when the order was placed.  If a trademarked or copyrighted logo style decal was originally ordered then it will be cancelled or refunded depending on the date of the order.  Extreme Decals will not sell any copyrighted or trademarked decals.

  8. Jagged Edge is a custom paint, airbrush and pinstripe shop located in the same building.  We all work together and turn out some of the most stunning works of art on the east coast.   Look for a completely revamped paint/airbrush section on our website soon.
